Generally, employees are hired for an unspecified duration. CCC is an at-will employer, therefore, the employment relationship can be terminated with or without cause, and with or without notice, at any time, at the option of either the employee or the Company. The following classifications for employees do not guarantee employment for any specific period of time:
- Regular Employee – An employee who regularly works either a full-time or part-time schedule on a consistent basis and is eligible for all or selected benefits as defined below:
- Full-time, Regular Employee – An employee regularly scheduled to work CCC’s normal five-day, forty (40) hour week and is eligible for benefits based on applicable length of service requirements.
- Part-time, Regular Employee – An employee regularly scheduled to work, in general, not more than thirty-five (35) hours per week. Employees regularly scheduled to work thirty (30) hours or more per week are eligible for all benefits, with Paid Time Off accruing at 75% of regular full-time accrual/eligibility). Employees regularly scheduled to work less than thirty (30) hours per week are not eligible for CCC’s benefits, except as provided under CCC’s 401(k) plan and the ESPP if they are at least 18 years of age. If an employee transfers, or begins being scheduled more than thirty (30) hours per week, all benefits, with the exception of 401(k) benefits become effective or start accruing on the employee’s first day of new employment.
- Temporary Employee – An employee hired to work for a limited duration which may arise out of special projects, unusual work loads or emergencies. A temporary employee is not eligible for benefits. If an employee transfers from temporary to regular, full-time status, all benefits become effective or start accruing on the employee’s first day of regular employment. Temporary employees may be hired to work either full-time or part-time schedules.
