#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement celebrated annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year, GivingTuesday commemorates its 10th anniversary, and to help, CCC is matching employee donations 2:1 made today through CCC Gives Back!CCC Gives Back Today and Every DayCCC Gives Back is a program that empowers our employees to contribute their time, talent, and funds to the causes they care about most, with opportunities for CCC to match, because connecting to the communities in which we live, work, and play is important.Through CCC Gives Back, employees can search a digital database for charitable organizations and opportunities for community engagement, track volunteer hours, read news about CCC giving back in the community, and donate to their favorite philanthropic organizations all year-round.When CCC employees reach their one-year work anniversary, they become eligible for CCC to match their donations and are rewarded for each volunteer hour logged, which goes toward their annual match cap.CCC Puts the "Giving" in ThanksgivingCCC employees also show compassion and support for local communities by volunteering their time. Below are highlights of several CCC employee-led charitable initiatives supporting worthy causes this holiday season.Members of CCC's Human Resources team organized a donation and volunteer opportunity through Metropolitan Family Services’ Learning and Wellness Center. They raised enough funds to purchase 50 backpacks and then gathered at our Chicago headquarters to assemble them with donated school supplies for next-day distribution to primary school children in communities throughout Chicago.
Several CCC’ers and their families participated in an event sponsored by our African American Alliance Employee Resource Group at Cradles to Crayons' Giving Factory in Chicago, volunteering to organize donated children’s clothing for local distribution to disadvantaged youth.
Austin-based CCC'ers gathered to assemble 40 donated hygiene packets in support of the Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center's mission to help people experiencing homelessness. The team also generously donated a gift card to help the organization purchase items of greatest need.
